Squats are one of the most important exercises for Wrestlers. Your legs are the biggest muscle group on your body and having a strong base is essential for most maneuvers in a wrestling match. All Olympic wrestling programs will have Squats in the mix. The variation of squats in your weightlifting program is the real test of your programs quality.

Squats keeping the bar parallel to the floor with a slight dip past your knees on "in the hole" gives a full coverage workout to the ascending and descending points your leg muscles go through in this exercise.
